Anthony Lavelle Shores Jr Obituary News: 18-year-old Teen From Central Ohio Drowns at Monroe County Campground in Southeast Michigan
On Wednesday night, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported the death of an 18-year-old from central Ohio who had been camping at the KOA Campground in southeast Michigan.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on Thursday afternoon identifying the victim as Anthony Lavelle Shores Jr.
At 5:51 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a call reporting that Shores, a resident of Pickerington, Ohio, had vanished while swimming, according to a press release.
Around 6 o’clock that evening, citizens and the campground staff located Shores. The man was pronounced dead despite the efforts of first responders, according to the sheriff’s office.
The incident is being looked into, according to the sheriff’s office.
