Arielle Anderson Obituary News: In loving memory of Arielle Anderson, victim of the mass shooting in MSU’s campus.
Arielle attended Michigan State University and was one of the victims of the tragic incident that left three students dead, and five others injured on February 13, 2023.
Police in New Jersey say that the person who killed three students at Michigan State University and shot five others who are in critical condition may have planned to attack two schools in that state.
Anthony Dwayne McRae, who was 43 and had no known ties to the school, opened fire on two parts of campus on Monday evening, MSU police said. He was later found dead from a gunshot wound that seemed to have been done by himself.
When McRae was found by police in Michigan, “he had a note in his pocket that said he was a threat to two Ewing Public Schools,” the police department in New Jersey said Tuesday. Police at MSU confirmed that McRae had a note, and police in Ewing said there was no longer a threat to the schools in the area.
“We lost our precious daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, Arielle Anderson. She means the world to us. As much as we loved her, she loved us and others even more. She was passionate about helping her friends and family, assisting children and serving people,” the family of Arielle Anderson said in a statement.
“Driven by her aspiration to tend to the health and welfare of others as a surgeon, she was working diligently to graduate from Michigan State University early to achieve her goals as quickly as possible.”
