Dear Emma,
Today was one lesson I have absolutely dreaded having to watch you learn. It doesn’t mean I didn’t know you would not eventually have to learn it. I will say this is the beginning of a tough season for you. Having something you have not only loved but also lived and breathed for more of your life than not, gone in a minute is tough, and it feels really heavy right now. And your brain at 14 years old isn’t really sure how to process it. Here are a few things to remember my sweet girl.
✨ “Rejection teaches you about where you stand. There is nothing wrong with that. When I look back at the time, I don’t regret being rejected, but I regret wasting years.” “Without experiencing criticism and rejection in life, it would be impossible to grow or improve yourself.” Use this season to be better. To improve on anything you can improve on. Remember what @kaylacherieharmon said… •Tom Brady was picked 199th in the draft and still went on to be the greatest quarterback of all time•
✨ Hold onto the word •Season• as that is all this is.. it’s a season. A season of growth and a season of lessons.
✨ your heart is one that is rare. Today it feels broken.. it will mend and you’ll come out on the other side so much stronger.
✨ don’t ever forget who you are. This doesn’t define you. You are incredible. Amazing. Beautiful. Smart. Talented. And I can’t wait to watch you watch you grow.
Straighten your crown Princess, we are gonna get through this together. One step at a time. You were made for more sweet girl and this is just the beginning.
Feel free to drop condolences messages and prayers for the family and friends of the deceased as it will go a very long way at this difficult time of theirs.
