Jenna Causby and Dorothyann Guthrie Obituary – Car Accident: Two dead, One in critical condition following fiery Lompoc car accident.
California Highway Patrol has identified the deceased victims of a fatal car crash Friday morning on highway 1 near Gaviota as 19-year-old Jenna Causby and 20-year-old Dorothyann Guthrie of Lompoc.
According to authorities, Causby and Guthrie were traveling on highway 1 north when a driver of a Ford C-Max tried to overtake slower traffic crashing head on into the two driving a Chevy Malibu.
The Santa Barbara Fire Department arrived on the scene to find both cars heavily damaged in the front and on fire. Emergency services located people involved in the incident while firefighters battled the flames.
Two people were confirmed deceased at the site by SBC Fire, while a third was seriously hurt and taken to SB Cottage Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing.
