Accident Wangaratta: One dead, three others injured following Easter Sunday crash in Wangaratta.
In Victoria’s northeast, a car accident has resulted in one man’s death and three other people suffering significant injuries.
Around 7.15 p.m. in Wangaratta, according to police, the automobile rolled near the intersection of Greta Road and Clarkes Lane before coming to rest in a paddock.
A passenger from Beaconsfield, age 26, passed away there. A 24-year-old Beaconsfield man was taken to the hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
In addition, a 16-year-old Wangaratta teenager was evacuated to the hospital with critical wounds.
The car’s driver, a 23-year-old Wangaratta man, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is now being treated for non-life-threatening wounds while being watched over by police.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are looking into what caused the accident.
