John Wesley Holt Car Accident – Obituary News: Pedestrian struck in Mobile, AL hit-and-run dies in hospital.
The Mobile Police Department is still looking into a hit-and-run that happened on Saturday night and sent a man in critical condition to the hospital. The victim, now known to be John Wesley Holt, 23, died on Tuesday from injuries he got on Saturday night.
MPD says that when officers responded to a call about a pedestrian being hit by a car just before 11 p.m. Saturday, they found that the victim had been hit by an unknown car while he was standing in the middle of the road. Police say the driver ran away from the scene.
Authorities say that the victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
It happened at the intersection of Old Shell Road and Lafayette Street.
