Stephanie Villella Car Accident: CTV reporter struck by vehicle while covering crash near Guelph.
While covering a collision near Puslinch, south of Guelph, on Wednesday, a news reporter was struck by a car and critically hurt.
Stephanie Villella, a video journalist for CTV Kitchener, was allegedly struck by a car while she was stationed at the police-barricaded and closed intersection of Brock Road South and Maltby Road.
Villella was gathering video from an earlier-in-the-day collision involving two vehicles that happened on Brock Road.
According to authorities, the reporter was rushed to a trauma center with critical injuries that could have been fatal.
The sedan’s driver stayed on the scene.
