Vance Klosinski Obituary News – Cause of Death: Former Garrison Commander Colonel Vance J. Klosinski Passes Away.

U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz mourns the loss of former garrison commander Colonel Vance J. Klosinski.

Klosinski’s death was announced via a statement shared on Facebook.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Abbie, his children, the Klosinski family, and his friends as they mourn the loss of a husband, father and a great military leader,” said Col. Reid E. Furman, USAG Rheinland-Pfalz commander.

Colonel Klosinski assumed command of USAG Rhieinland-Pfalz July 22, 2020. A native of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Klosinski served as an infantry platoon leader with the 10th Mountain Division and later qualified as a Special Forces officer. He was assigned to the Pentagon, Army staff and several special operations commands around the globe.
