Caden Simmons and Lauren Scott Car Accident: Woman killed in Saratoga Springs car accident involving a school bus.
A woman who died in a two-vehicle collision involving a school bus in Saratoga Springs early Monday is now identified as 20-year-old Lauren Scott, of Saratoga Springs.
According to spokeswoman for Saratoga Springs, AnnElise Harrison, the crash happened when a northbound Hyundai car was driving on Redwood Road and tried to turn left into a Maverik gas station. The Alpine School District bus, which was driving south at 45 mph, then struck the Hyundai, Harrison said.
Scott, a passenger in the Hyundai, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the vehicle’s driver, 19-year-old Caden Simmons, was flown to a hospital in critical condition.
According to authorities, all occupants of the bus, including the driver were not injured.
Investigations are ongoing.
