At Lewis Capaldi’s old school, a kid died in a “isolated incident” while being subjected to brutal bullying, according to the victim’s bereaved relatives.
According to Hamdan Khaliq’s family, during the “isolated incident” on Tuesday afternoon at St Kentigern’s Academy in Blackburn, West Lothian, the 14-year-old kid was put in a “chokehold” by another student.
At the school where musician Capaldi was a student, witnesses claimed that the adolescent looked to have a seizure.
“With a heavy heart our cousin Hamdan from Harthill passed away today,” Sana Khaliq wrote in a Facebook post. “His life was lost during break time today at St kentigerns Academy. Poor boy suffered a horrible death whilst many stood around and watched. Apparently it happened over a game… im sorry but wherever this has came from needs checked as an incident occurred with him yesterday around a fight… which we believe has continued to today resulting in the loss of life.”
Hamdan was brought to the hospital but passed away shortly after.
