Marty Sammon died in his sleep in New Orleans early Saturday morning, October 15, 2022, an online obituary announced. Sammon had just turned 45 yesterday.
“I just heard about Marty Sammon’s passing. I am shocked and so saddened. I enjoyed playing with him during our recent Buddy Guy tour where he would sit in with us on piano and organ for a few songs each night. A kind and talented man. My condolences to his family and friends. What a terrible loss,” Colin James wrote in a tribute post shared on Facebook.
