According to reports on Sunday, October 16, 2022, Sam Speake of Columbia, MO, was in a “bad” car accident from which he sustained severe injuries. Unfortunately, Speake died from injuries sustained in the crash.

North Branford Car Accident: Man dies following three-vehicle crash near Gulf Brook Drive.

According to North Branford Police Department in a press release, on 10/15/2022 at 8:46 Am The North Branford Police and Fire Department responded to the area of Forest Road (CT-RT 22) near Gulf Brook Drive for the report a serious motor vehicle accident.

Upon officers arrival they located a three car motor vehicle accident, police said. One of the operators sustained serious injuries, one operator sustained minor injuries and one operator sustained life threatening injuries.

According to police, emergency services performed extraordinary life saving measures to a 40 year old male (Northford, CT Resident) who was transported to Yale New Hospital.

“It is with heart felt sorrow and deep sympathy, the North Branford Police Department reports the 40 year old male did not survive,” police said.

Identification of the deceased will be released pending notification to family.
