Queensland rugby league player 24-year-old Liam Hampson was found dead, more than 30 hours after he vanished on a night out with NRL player mates in Barcelona on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
Hampson was reported missing while holidaying with the Titans’ Alexander Brimson in Barcelona. The footy star was reportedly last seen around 4.30am leaving the ‘Sala Apolo’ nightclub.
The horrified club workers discovered Hampson’s lifeless body and believe he died after falling 10 meters.
The fact that his body was hidden away in a restricted part of the club, according to local Mossos d’Esquadra police, is what caused it to take so long to be discovered.
Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga says the Australian side will play against Scotland on Saturday morning with the family of Liam Hampson in the back of their minds.
