Judy Malinowski Obituary; Evan Slagle Carlisle, PA: ‘The Fire That Took Her’ premiere

Judy Malinowski Obituary: In loving memory of Ohio woman set ablaze by boyfriend.

On Aug. 2, 2015, Judy Malinowski’s boyfriend poured gasoline on her and set her on fire, leaving the mother-of-two with 90 percent of her body covered in third- or fourth-degree burns. Ultimately, the mother of two died from her wounds.

Malinowski spent seven months in a coma, and could hardly breathe or speak. Nevertheless, in January 2017, despite her dim outlook on life, she submitted her testimony because she thought Slager would be prosecuted with her murder after she passed away.
