Johnny Bocktune Lew Obituary News: Reportedly stolen Mercedes convertible found buried in Atherton linked to former homeowner Johnny Bocktune Lew.

A Mercedes found buried behind a $15 million Atherton home was reported stolen out of Palo Alto in 1993, police said Friday.

The vehicle is a Mercedes 560 SL with a personalized license plate associated with Johnny Bocktune Lew, a former resident who later passed away and moved to Washington state. The car was allegedly buried around the time it was reported stolen, according to the police.

While performing landscaping work in the backyard of a multi-million dollar estate on Stockbridge Avenue on Thursday morning, landscapers discovered the automobile.

Jacq Searle is Johnny Bocktune Lew’s daughter.

Investigations are ongoing.
