Andrew Dearing Obituary News: Fairfax County man dies in two-vehicle collision on West Ox Road.
Police said that a motorcycle accident involving a Jeep on West Ox Road Wednesday night resulted in the death of a Fairfax County man.
Andrew Dearing, a 27-year-old Fairfax resident, was the motorcyclist, according to Fairfax County police.
Fairfax County police reported that they were called shortly after 6:15 p.m. for an incident involving a 2018 Yamaha MT-07 motorbike and a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Fairfax close to Fair Oaks Mall.
According to them, Dearing was in the left lane of West Ox Road traveling south on his motorcycle. A Jeep was being driven by a driver who was ready to turn into Ox Hill Road from West Ox Road’s northbound turn lane.
The motorcycle then allegedly struck the Jeep from the southbound left lane after traveling straight through the crossing. After being transported to a hospital, Dearing was declared deceased, according to the police.
