On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at about 3:45 pm, Jasper County E-911 received reports of a two-vehicle collision at MO-37 and Blackberry Road.
Mercy Ambulance, Sarcoxie Police, and the Sarcoxie Fire Department all responded. The Missouri State Highway Patrol and MoDOT Emergency Response were informed.
According to Sarcoxie Police Chief Brandy Corum, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to investigate the crash site.
Troop D’s MCIU (Major Crash Investigation Unit) will look into what happened, according to Cpl Jeff Prewitt.
Emmanuel Lovell, 20, of Sarcoxie, was on CR60 heading north while operating a 2013 Fiat. Randy Nace, the coroner for Jasper County, declared him dead at the scene.
Eden Sims, 19, of Sarcoxie, a passenger in the Fiat, was taken with moderate injuries to Mercy Joplin.
Tracy Lowe, 52, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, was driving a 2002 Ford F250 and was heading east on BlackBerry Road. She wasn’t hurt in the collision.
