John Shemo Death – Obituary: In Loving Memory of John Shemo: According to an online obituary on Friday, December 2, 2022, Sara Marshall has passed away unexpectedly. However, cause of death was not disclosed.
Mourning his death, Chris Iorio wrote;
My family and I are so saddened to hear of the passing of John Shemo . He wasn’t just a longtime coworker, he was a great friend and he will truly be missed. He spread joy wherever he played guitar and his mastery of adlib lyrics to fit any event, never failed to thrill the crowd. Some of the best times was writing different lyrics to popular Christmas songs with John for GHP’s Yearly Christmas Song contests.
The one year we won was when John dressed as Elvis in his white jumpsuit and wowed the crowd. I can still picture him up on stage impersonating Elvis in amazement. You could tell he was in his element of entertaining. He was there for my son, Chris Iorio Jr. when he was starting to play guitar to help him master his skills and always supported him. There are so many stories I can tell, but it would take all day. Heaven just picked up one of the best guitar players this area had to offer. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
