Kirkwood Ohio Car Accident: One killed in 50-car pileup crash on the Ohio Turnpike in Sandusky County.
The Ohio Turnpike near mile post 118 is where Assistant Chief John Kaminski got a mutual aid call from the Sandusky County Sheriff at around 2:30 PM today, requesting for extrication services to respond and help with a multi-vehicle accident.
TFRD resources, including Engine 7, Rescue 7, Safety Officer 134, Battalion Chief 3, and Deputy Chief 114, were aiding at this ongoing incident as of 3:40 PM this afternoon.
Multiple people were hurt as a consequence of a series of collisions that happened on the turnpike, according to troopers.

The turnpike is now seeing several incidents involving numerous car accidents around mile markers 118 and 106, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
These collisions happened not far from both of those mileposts. The Ohio Turnpike also reported that at milepost 106 in Sandusky County, all eastbound lanes are shut down.
At around 11:45 a.m., a collision occurred close to state road 250. The troopers reported that two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of a five-car crash.
Around 12:30 p.m., authorities responded to several accidents that had happened on the turnpike close to Eastbound 106.
