Matt Tynan Death – Obituary: Matt Tynan and Jenny Horsley of Missoula Involved in an Accident

In Puerto Escondido, Mexico, on January 26, Matt Tynan and Jenny Horsley were involved in a serious vehicle accident. They were there to commemorate their joint 10-year wedding anniversary. Jenny sustained severe injuries that will require ongoing medical attention, while Matt tragically did not survive the collision.

After losing a parent, it was going to be a time for celebration and possibly for healing as well. The tragic events that followed are hard to understand.

A resort on Mexico’s Pacific coast called Puerto Escondido may have been lucky enough to attract some of you. Typical language is used in the brochures: “A thriving nightlife and numerous beaches. a relaxed surfers’ haven. Palm-tree-lined beaches and bars with thatched roofs…”

Missoula residents Matt Tynan and Jenny Horsley choose this location to honor their tenth wedding anniversary. However, there was a halt in Denver to attend Matt’s stepmother’s funeral before the trip could start.

On January 26, the actual wedding anniversary, Matt and Jenny left Puerto Escondido for a road trip in their rental car. An investigation revealed that a tour bus was approaching and had crossed the center line. The crash resulted in Matt’s demise.

Speaking with a friend here in Missoula, we heard that while though Matt worked for FedEx, he was always ready to assist Jenny’s company, Habitat Floral, in any way imaginable. Animals were dear to the pair, especially rescue dogs. A fantastic friend who would go above and above for you, Matt, is described.

Jenny survived, but not without significant injuries. Surgery was done on her while she was at a hospital in Puerto Escondido. It is merely the start.
