Teddy Von Nukem Obituary News: Charlottesville’s Nazi-rally Tiki Torcher commits suicide before smuggling trial.
One of the most well-known people at the 2017 neo-Nazi rally in Charlottesville, Teddy Joseph Von Nukem, killed himself right before he was to go to trial for bringing fentanyl across the southern border.
According to court records, the 35-year-old skipped out on his first day of trial for drug trafficking in Arizona on Jan. 30. Von Nukem was still at his home in Missouri when a federal judge issued a warrant for his arrest. He had already killed himself there.
The face of a man from Lebanon who marched at the front of the 2017 protest against the removal of confederate statues went viral. He was wearing a black shirt and holding a tiki torch while his mouth was open. The Unite the Right rally got national attention because it was put on by a group of white supremacist, alt-right, neo-Nazi, and pro-Confederate groups, and counter-protester Heather Heyer was killed there.
