William Anthony Harlan Jr. Obituary News – Death: Victim, suspect identified in fatal Sioux City stabbing.
A Sioux City Police press release says that at 9:48 p.m. Friday, officers were sent to an apartment building at 414 11th St., where they found Harlan with “multiple stab wounds.” He was taken to MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center, but his injuries killed him there later.
A criminal complaint in the case says that Harlan was found “just inside the door” of apartment #6. He had been stabbed and seemed to be out of his mind. The complaint says that Parker and three other men were in the apartment, and that Parker was “trying to hide himself in the bathroom.”
The suspect and the person who was killed in a stabbing on 11th Street on Friday night have been identified by the police.
William Anthony Harlan Jr., who was 48 years old and from Sioux City, was named as the victim in court papers.
Nathaniel John Parker III, 30, of Sioux City, has been arrested in connection with the stabbing. He is being charged with first-degree murder and having a controlled substance in his possession (methamphetamine).
