Chris Greeley Obituary – Cause of Death: In loving memory of Holden Maine Police Chief Christian Greeley.
Chris had an unwavering love for his wife, their son Cole, and Donna’s two daughters.
On Friday, March 10, The Holden Maine Police Department announced the passing of Chief Greeley after a brief illness.
“It is with profound sadness that the Holden Police Department shares that after a brief illness, Chief Christian Greeley passed away last night,” the department announced via a statement shared on Facebook.
Chief Greeley served the Citizens of Penobscot County in various Police Departments for over 32 years. He was a Patrol Officer for the Town of Veazie, Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Brewer and finally the Town of Holden.
He started working as a Patrol Officer for the Town of Holden in 2007. He worked his way through the ranks and was promoted to the Chief in September 2015.
“He truly understood Community Policing and cared deeply for the Citizens of the Town of Holden along with the people he worked with. He started the 25 Days of Kindness with a few hundred donated dollars and turned it into an event that raised over $25,000 last year.”
“His humor, stories and personality will be missed greatly by those of us who have known him for many years.”
