According to Dr. Anthony Fauci, a coronavirus lab leak might still be regarded as a “natural occurrence” if the term “lab leak” was defined as an individual who contracted the virus in the wild before going “into a lab,” being examined there, and then “coming out of the lab.”
On Saturday, Fauci discussed the possibility of a coronavirus lab breach with Jim Acosta of CNN.
“A lab leak may occur if a person contracted an infection while out in the wild, perhaps seeking for various viruses in bats, then entered a lab to be examined there before leaving. Yet, if that is what a lab leak is, then it is still a natural occurrence “explained Fauci.
The other option, according to him, was if a virus that had been acquired from an environment “accidentally” left a lab.
