In episode one, “Not Dead Enough,” the second season of Grace began. In the episode, Grace and Branson looked into the death of Katya Bishop, a wealthy socialite, philanthropist, and wife of prominent Brighton businessman Kit Bishop.
Bishop is the target of everyone’s suspicions since it turns out that he is having an affair with Sophie Carrington, a young woman who also turns up dead under suspicious circumstances. But, Bishop seems to have a solid defense, notably that he is unable to be in two places at once, thus Grace is left to solve the case.
In the second episode, “Dead Man’s Footsteps,” the skeletal remains of a lady are found in a storm drain. Grace follows the man’s previous procedures after learning that the woman was the conman’s wife who had been killed in an airplane crash several years before.
The start of episode three, “Dead Tomorrow,” featured the horrifying discovery of a cadaver that had been dragged up from the seabed and had its eyes cut out. A strange incision on the body prompts suspicions that something more sinister is at play, but it was initially assumed to be a botched burial at sea.
Later, two more bodies are found, both of which have had organs removed. As a result, Grace comes to the conclusion that the fatalities are related to the illegal trade in human organs. She also learns that migrants who were persuaded to immigrate to Britain on the promise of a better life are being murdered and their organs are being harvested for sale.
This weekend marks the return of the first installment of a brand-new season of the well-liked paranormal detective program Grace on ITV. The program will take over the Sunday night time slot held by Endeavour, whose final episode aired last weekend.
As the main character DSI Roy Grace, a detective who uses his interest in the paranormal to solve enigmatic murder cases, John Simm returns to the new season. Richie Campbell, Craig Parkinson, and Zoe Tapper, who also co-starred in the film, reprise their roles as pathologist Cleo Moray and DS Glenn Branson, respectively.
After a surprising incident on the eve of a coworker’s farewell party, Grace and Branson are drawn into a new mystery in the opening episode of series three. Here is a summary of what happened in series two, though, in case you need a reminder of what came before.
