Sam Kesselman Car Accident; Cornell University Student, Sam Kesselman Injured in Northwest Accident has died
Sam Kesselman Car Accident; Kesselman was reportedly struck by a car that then fled the scene when he was traveling on a stand-up scooter at New Jersey Avenue and P Street in Northwest the previous Thursday at 7:30 p.m., according to the police.
Sam Kesselman, a student at Cornell University who was hurt in the collision on Thursday, October 20, 2022, passed away today. Sam was rushed to the Howard University Medical Center after suffering a severe brain injury, where he underwent surgery right away to reduce swelling that had formed in his brain.
Kesselman’s family claims that he was en route to a business meeting. Sam’s father, Stephen, thinks it is improbable that the driver was oblivious of the collision when he fled the scene.
Kesselman’s family claims that he has suffered major brain damage, therefore they sent him to Howard University Hospital for treatment. He received treatment at the Johns Hopkins University Bayview hospital in Baltimore while being put into an artificially induced coma.
Sam Kesselman’s parents claim that he was hit by a car while waiting at a red light.
The white Mazda CX-5 SUV is thought to be the vehicle being sought, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. The MPD published a portion of a security video of the car they think was involved in the incident on Monday.
The Kesselmans claim that they were informed that a metro bus fitted with a camera that faces forward may have recorded the incident on camera. It is yet unknown whether or not the Metropolitan Police Department has a license plate number for the vehicle.
Kesselman’s parents are adamant that the driver be punished for his acts.
