Sydney Sims Car Accident: Covenant School (Nashville) shooter was heartbroken over the death of a girl she was “infatuated” with.
Investigations into the emotional and mental health of 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who killed six people at a Nashville school, are ongoing. According to investigators, the assassin was devastated by the death of a girl she was “infatuated” with in 2022.
Audrey was drawn to the other girl because they were on the same high school basketball team together.
Samira Hardcastle claimed that the death of Sydney Sims, who perished in a car accident in August 2022, had left the tomboyish Hale very upset.
Audrey was being treated for her emotional problem and had suicidal thoughts.
Both the girls’ middle school and high school friend Hardcastle recalled: “Following Sydney’s unfortunate demise, Audrey was terribly heartbroken over it. Simply said, I think she interpreted it differently than some of us did. She continued to post practically daily about Sydney.”
What I knew of her was more admiration for Sydney, possibly even adoration, because that was the person she really, truly looked up to, the speaker said.
Hale, who the police claimed was transgender and had begun to identify as using he/him pronouns, released a TikTok in February on an account named “iam aiden10” that has since been deleted in honor of “Syd.”
The clip featured a shadow of a person bouncing a basketball and the words: “For Syd. I look up the sky is brilliant. It’s a lovely day. I wish you were here”.
Hardcastle recalled that she had last seen Audrey at a radio show filming for their friend Avieranna Patton about a month prior.
She wasn’t with anyone, in my opinion. Hardcastle continued, “I don’t think that they were extremely close but I think Audrey looked up to her like she looked up to Sydney. She was just kind of by herself. Yet, I’m not sure if that was ever something that was reciprocal.
The final person Hale spoke to before going on a shooting rampage was Patton, who received a message from Hale that read, “This is my last goodbye. I adore you, and I’ll see you in another life.
“The most gorgeous person I’ve ever seen and known in my entire life,” Audrey said of Patton, adding, “My family doesn’t know what I’m about to do. This will make more sense in time. I’ve provided more than enough proof. Yet, something negative is about to occur.
Hale, according to Hardcastle, was a “tomboy” in elementary school but didn’t seem to change until she was an adult.
