According to Sheriff Bobby Webre, Detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Violent Crimes Unit arrested Aaron Landry, 18, of Gonzales, and a 17-year-old male from Darrow in connection with Treylon Brown’s murder.
Each suspect is accused of the following:
-administrative to first-degree murder
-principal to attempted 1st degree murder
– primary to unlawful use of weapons – primary to aggravated criminal property damage
Sunday, March 12th, deputies responded to a gunshot on Darrow’s Highway 22. Deputies discovered Treylon Brown, 15, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds upon arrival.
A second juvenile was also wounded by gunfire, and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Aaron Landry and the juvenile after identifying them as suspects during their investigation.
Landry was taken into custody at his home and transported to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office. The juvenile was apprehended and transported to the St. Benard Parish Juvenile Detention Center after he turned himself in with family members.
Currently, three suspects have been arrested in connection with this investigation. A 16-year-old was charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, unlawful possession of a handgun by a minor, and aggravated criminal damage to property on March 17.
