Sabrina Navaretta Car Accident: A 16-year-old girl is reported to be in critical condition following a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Friday night in Newark.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., six accident victims were discovered at the intersection of Library Avenue and Wyoming Road. County Paramedics, Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder personnel, and the University of Delaware’s Emergency Care Unit were all dispatched to the scene.
According to reports, a young girl was found trapped inside one of the vehicles involved in the accident. She sustained multiple injuries as a result.
The victim was rescued within 20 minutes and received medical attention on site before being transported to the Emergency Room at Christiana Hospital.
Four additional individuals were transported to the emergency room, while one person declined medical attention at the location.
The crash is currently under investigation by Newark police. Library Avenue was closed in both directions between Wyoming Road and Farm Lane for about 3 hours.
