Beau Wilson Death: New Mexico shooter that killed 3 identified as 18-year-old Farmington High School student.
According to authorities in the town of Farmington in northwest New Mexico, a 98-year-old woman and her 73-year-old daughter were two of the three people killed by an 18-year-old high school student who prowled through his neighborhood Monday and fired indiscriminately at homes and onlookers in their vehicles.
According to authorities, Beau Wilson shot nine individuals in all on Monday morning before being fatally shot by four Farmington police officers.
According to officials, Gwendolyn Schofield, 98, and her daughter Melody Ivie, 73, died in their automobile, while Shirley Volta, 79, who was also shot in a car, passed away in a hospital.
Officer Andreas Stamatiadas of the New Mexico State Police was shot when he arrived at the site, while Farmington Police Sgt. Rachel Discenza was hurt during the gunfire exchange with the attacker.
Although they were hospitalized, four additional injured individuals have been released, much like the officers.
A motive for the shooting is still being sought by investigators.
Wilson’s family expressed worries about his mental health during interviews, although it was unclear whether Wilson had received a mental health diagnosis.
