In Griffin, a couple has been taken into custody following the discovery of a 10-year-old boy who was found wandering their neighborhood. According to reports, the child weighed less than a typical 4-year-old. Neighbors were responsible for alerting authorities to the situation.
According to Giffin police, a lost child was reported walking down the street on Westminster Circle on May 12.
According to reports, concerned neighbors noticed a child who appeared to be small and thin and promptly brought him indoors. Upon the arrival of the police, the boy stated that he was en route to Kroger to purchase food and pleaded with them to refrain from forcing him to return.

As per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), an average 4-year-old boy weighs approximately 40 pounds.
According to District Attorney Marie Broder, the child was being starved to death, which she described as a tragic situation. According to the speaker, had he not escaped from the house, the case would have had a different outcome.

According to authorities, the Department of Family and Children’s Services is currently in possession of the other children who were present in the home. According to police, the other children, who were homeschooled, seemed to be in good condition.
Broder expressed her disbelief as a mother, stating, “I can’t comprehend it.” As per the individual’s statement, “But as a human being, it breaks your heart.” For obvious reasons, no photos of the child are being released. According to the user, the photos are “absolutely horrible.”
According to Channel 2’s Tom Jones, a neighbor reported that the family was reclusive and seldom engaged in conversation. According to her statement, the boy appeared to be significantly younger and was dressed in loose-fitting attire.

According to police, the father of the boy turned himself in voluntarily. The timing of the mother’s arrest remains unclear.
It remains unclear whether the couple has secured legal representation, as the district attorney declined to comment on the matter.
