The spouse of a Perth woman who was allegedly fatally stabbed in front of her daughters is currently being guarded by police in the hospital.
Emmerick Lasakar, 35, was discovered seriously injured at her house on Knutsford Avenue in Kewdale and passed away Friday night at Royal Perth Hospital.
The mother-of-two was allegedly battered and stabbed while her family members frantically tried to save her, according to the police.
They are currently looking into whether her 37-year-old partner Steven Dean was the one who beat her.
Just after 8 o’clock, witnesses reported hearing cries coming from the house.
Neighbor Roslyn described how the woman “just ran out onto the front of the house then the back, screaming screaming screaming, and then the kids came out with her.”
It was her mother, and she was yelling, “Mama mamma mamma, no no no, pick me, kill me,” over and over again. This was the worst kind of screaming.
Police claim Dean, who is uncharged, fled the scene in his gray Ford Ranger Raptor dual-cab truck while allegedly robbing a gas station in East Victoria Park before colliding with a tree at St. James.
