On a roadway in Sydney’s northwest, a bus and a car collided, pulling down power wires and forcing traffic to back up.
Just after 3 p.m. on Monday, the bus and the automobile collided on Victoria Road in West Ryde.
NSW Police confirmed that there were no people on board.
“The crash brought down wires from a telegraph pole, which required police to close the road to traffic in both directions. Diversions are in place while emergency electrical crews make the scene safe,” police said.
The bus driver received minor injuries treatment from paramedics.
As of Monday night, Victoria Road’s eastbound lanes have all been reopened; however, near Brush Road, all westbound lanes are still blocked up.
Drivers are advised to stay away from the area.
