Brice Trossbach House Fire Death: Naval Air Station Patuxent River firefighter died in line of duty in St. Mary’s County house fire.
Early on Tuesday morning, a firefighter was fighting a fire near Leonardtown when he became trapped and perished.
Firefighters were summoned to a 2,500 square foot home in Leonardtown’s 20500 block of Deer Wood Park Drive at around 5:30 in the morning, according to officials.
Officials from the county and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Baltimore acknowledged that a firefighter from the Naval Air Station Patuxent River passed away while performing his duties.

Brice C. Trossbach has been named as the deceased firefighter. Trossbach, 25, had joined the department in August of 2019 and was a Naval District Washington Firefighter at NAS Patuxent River.
