David Read Obituary News: 50-year-old Found Dead Multiple Injuries in Blackburn flat
Yesterday, June 7, at 11:38 a.m., reports of a sudden death prompted officers to be dispatched to Leamington Road.
When emergency personnel arrived, they discovered a local man, later identified as David Read, 50, dead.
Specially trained officers are helping David’s family.
David was discovered with numerous wounds, and his death is currently being investigated. Today (June 8), an autopsy is being performed.
The case is currently being investigated by a special squad of police investigators.
Although no one has been arrested as of yet, several avenues of investigation are being looked into.
As police conduct a thorough investigation, a scene will be left in place over the next few days.
Police are eager to hear from anyone who knows David as part of their investigations, especially if they recently spoke with him or have information they believe could be useful to the inquiry.
The Leamington Road area was the subject of a police appeal for anyone with information on suspicious activity on Tuesday or Wednesday, as well as anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage from those times.
“First and foremost, my thoughts are with David’s loved ones at this trying time,” said DCI Mark Haworth-Oates of the Force Major Investigation Team.
“While they process this terrible news, they have begged that their privacy be maintained.
“I would want anyone who believes they may have information that can help with our inquiries, no matter how unimportant they may think it may be, to contact police as soon as possible.
“I recognize that a situation like this may raise concerns in the neighborhood.
“We are making every effort to find and apprehend those involved because we do believe that Mr. Read was particularly targeted.
Residents should feel free to approach our officers and share any information you may have. Over the next few days, residents will notice an increase in police presence in the neighborhood.
“Someone out there will be aware of the reason David was attacked in such a horrible manner and will be aware of the perpetrators.
“I would strongly encourage them to speak up and let us know what they know.”
David’s relatives praised him, saying: “David was a nice, kind man who had a close relationship with his parents.
“He was known as the gentle giant, and his family and friends will greatly miss him.
There are now more assurance patrols in the area.
