Brett Kenneth Decker Obituary News: In Loving Memory of Brett Kenneth Decker , 45
According to an online obituary on wednesday, May 7, 2023, Brett Kenneth Decker has passed away unexpectedly. However, his cause of death was not disclosed.
On June 7, 2023, Brett Kenneth Decker, 45, passed away suddenly. He was born on July 7, 1977, to Nancy and Larry Decker in Lockport.
Brett was incredibly happy to be able to report that he had spent more than 20 years caring for and encouraging his lovely wife Trudy in all of their endeavors. Brett loved taking his family camping, playing golf with his son Tagen, and keeping the family’s fleet of cars in good shape, especially their 1966 Mustang. In addition to caring for Arie’s horses and attending her events, Brett devoted a lot of time to her. Malika was Brett’s niece, but to him she was more like a daughter who he shared a lot of love and life experiences with. He spent a great deal of time teaching and learning from his kids. Everyone adored him, and he had a terrific sense of humor. He would frequently taunt people and never knew when to stop, yet he always did it in a lighthearted manner. While his children were playing for the Batavia Ramparts and the RBM high school hockey team, Brett was a vociferous supporter of them. Over the course of his more than 20 years as the owner and operator of Brett Excavating, he got to know a lot of individuals. He was discovered to be working with Luca, who remained by his side at all times. As the adage goes, “A jack of all trades, master of none, but often times better than a master of one” describes Brett, he will be known as a handyman and Mr. Fix-It. Family and friends were very important to Brett, and they will always cherish the time they spent with him.
He also lost his grandparents, several cousins, and close friend Jeff Strothmann in addition to his father.
Mother Nancy Decker, siblings Dan (Beth) Piekarsky, Lori (Stuart) Pollack, Amy Decker, and Nicole Decker, as well as other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins, survive Brett. He has been married to Trudy for 20 years.
On Sunday, June 11th, from 12:00-4:00pm, Brett’s family will host visitors at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home 38 State St. Middleport, NY 14105. On Monday at 11:00, there will be a funeral service for him at the Middleport Fire Hall, 28 Main Street, with burial to follow at Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.
