Jesse Christiano Obituary News: Motorcyclist killed in Sunday night Torrington motorcycle accident.
Following a head-on collision on Saturday night in Torrington, one motorcyclist has passed away.
Around 10:10 p.m., emergency personnel were summoned to a collision between a motorbike and a car on Winsted Road at the intersection with South Road.
Jesse Christiano, 27, of Torrington, was found unconscious with significant, perhaps fatal injuries on the shoulder of Winsted Road when police arrived on the scene, according to reports.
Christiano’s motorcycle looked to have been tossed during the crash. Investigators claim that he was declared dead shortly after arriving at Hartford Hospital after being taken there by LifeStar.
A 22-year-old Torrington male was operating a 2023 Toyota Corolla, which was the second vehicle involved in the collision. He wasn’t hurt in the collision.
Investigators claim that Christiano pulled off the west shoulder of Winsted Road close to the intersection with South Road while driving southward. The Toyota Corolla, which was moving south on Winsted Road, slammed into Christiano head-on as he is thought to have then been attempting to turn onto South Road or do a u-turn to proceed back north on Winsted Road.
Torrington Police Accident Investigation Team was sent to the scene to look into the collision.
