Sue, 63, retired from Bricker & Eckler in December 2020, to spend more time with her family and on her farm.
On Saturday evening, June 10, 2023, Sue died tragically and very unexpectedly, as a result of injuries sustained in a farm accident near Logan, Ohio, in Hocking County that claimed her life.
Sue is survived by her husband of 32 years, Brant, and by her three children, Lydia (age 27), Caleb (age 25) and Rachel (age 18).
As an attorney, she was a counselor to many public school district officials, was instrumental in the landmark DeRolph v. State of Ohio school funding case and a respected authority on all aspects of Ohio law pertaining to K-12 schools.
