According to reports, a Hammond adolescent has been detained in connection with the Sunday morning shooting death of a Springfield resident.
Shortly after midnight, Tykerstein Lusk, 23, was discovered dead from a gunshot wound outside the Living Room nightclub at 801 Nashville Avenue in Hammond.
Later on Sunday morning, Malik Andrews, 19, was detained and placed into jail on charges of first-degree homicide and illegal firearm discharge. The inquiry is still being conducted.
