Maria Booker Obituary – Car Accident: In loving memory of Alexandria, VA woman killed in Perry County crash.
An accident that left one dead was investigated by the Indiana State Police on Sunday.
The Perry County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint concerning a late driver from Virginia at around 6:31 o’clock.
After leaving Colorado earlier in the day, Maria Booker, 35, of Locust Grove, Virginia, was unable to be reached for several hours.
Along with Perry County Sheriff’s Department officers, Indiana State Police troopers started searching for Booker on I-64 in the last place he was last seen, according to information provided by a family member.
The Perry County Sheriff’s Office discovered a 2018 Chevrolet at around 7:20 p.m. down an embankment in the densely forested area, close to the 75.5-mile marker. The driver was discovered to be dead.
The deceased driver was identified as Maria Booker thanks to her license and registration details. To report the deceased, Virginia State Police were contacted. There will be an autopsy.
