Dickson “Joel” De Los Reyes Obituary – Cause of Death: Missing Lynn man found dead in Revere marsh.
According to authorities, a 24-year-old Lynn man’s body was found in the wetlands near Revere on Friday evening by Massachusetts State Police divers.
According to a statement, Dickson “Joel” De Los Reyes’ corpse was discovered by divers from the State Police Underwater Recovery Unit in the Rumney Marsh Reservation along Route 107. According to police, a State Police Air Wing flight team performing an aerial search of the region discovered his body at first.
Investigators did not disclose the cause of death, but they did state that an autopsy would be performed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. No arrests or people of interest in relation to the case have been made public by the police.
State police said that Reyes vanished on June 11 early in the morning after leaving a party in Chelsea. According to the evidence, De Los Reyes boarded a Lyft at 168 Shurtleff St. in Chelsea at 3:42 a.m.
According to authorities, the ride came to an end at 3:56 in the morning, just before De Los Reyes called 911 from a location near American Legion Highway in Revere.
Even though that 911 call was connected to Revere police, call terminated, according to investigators. Police thought the phone was off after making several fruitless efforts to call the number again.
On Thursday afternoon, the search for De Los Reyes got under way. In a series of social media posts, the police provided details about the case and asked for tips.
