Key Largo Motorcycle Accident: Three killed in Saturday night crash on U.S. 1 in Key Largo.
According to the Florida Keys News, three persons died in an accident in the Florida Keys on Saturday night.
Just before 7 o’clock in the evening, the incident occurred on US 1 south at milepost 96 in Key Largo. According to early reports, a Honda motorcycle driver struck a Buick Enclave SUV as it was turning left into the Buttonwood Bay condominiums. The SUV overturned and started burning.
The two occupants of the Enclave as well as the motorbike operator both died from their injuries. They kept their identities a secret.
According to information from the 911 call center, the Honda and another motorcycle were apparently moving quickly on U.S. 1 at the time of the collision. After the collision, the second bike continued traveling to the south.
Major traffic delays resulted from the roadway being closed for over six hours while police and emergency personnel responded to the incident.
