Sagamore Bridge Car Accident: At least one injured in Saturday evening multi-vehicle collision on the Sagamore Bridge.
On Saturday, a collision involving five automobiles on the Sagamore Bridge resulted in several injuries and caused miles of traffic backups on Cape Cod.
Around 5:00 p.m., first responders began working to free individuals still trapped in their cars, and Bourne Police initially informed the public that all lanes of the main entry to the Cape were closed.
According to MassDot, after around 30 minutes, motorists were able to slowly make their way across the bridge by utilizing the proper lanes.
According to Bourne Police, both lanes of traffic were reopened by six o’clock.
Traffic to the Cape was backed up three miles away from the scene of the accident, according to Massachusetts State Police.
