Detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office are looking into a crash near Deerfield Beach on Tuesday morning that claimed the life of a motorcyclist.
At the intersection of West Hillsboro Boulevard and North Powerline Road, the collision occurred shortly after 7 a.m.
When BSO deputies and Broward Sheriff’s Fire Rescue arrived at the scene of the collision, they discovered a motorcycle driver on the ground who had been pronounced dead at the scene, according to the authorities.
The victim’s identify or state of health have not yet been made public.
Detectives looking into traffic homicides are looking into what caused the collision.
According to BSO, the north and southbound lanes of North Powerline Road were temporarily closed due to the continuing investigation from Hillsboro Boulevard to the Palm Beach County line.
