36-year-old Ryan Kennedy was a 7-year veteran of the Hampden County Sheriff’s Office. He was just honored this past May with a SAVE Award for saving the life of a women who had a cardiac event while driving.
“It is with the deepest sympathy and a heavy heart that Sheriff Nicholas Cocchi announces the passing of Correctional Officer Ryan Patrick Kennedy,” the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department announced via a statement shared on Facebook.
