Simon Dunn Rugby Player Car Accident: Member of Sydney Convicts’ Bingham Cup winning team Simon Dunn passes away.
An online obituary on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, announced the tragic death of Simon Dunn.
He assisted the Sydney Convicts in capturing the Bingham Cup during the international gay rugby competition.
He also participated in the Australian bobsleigh team’s training but, regrettably, was unable to compete owing to injuries.
He was a fervent supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community who, among other things, spoke out against homophobia in sports, pushed homosexual men to get HIV tests, raised money for vulnerable young LGBTQIA+ people, and served as an ambassador for The Bobby Goldsmith Foundation.
