According to reports, The man whose name has been made public was killed in a fatal car accident that occurred in Stevensville on March 19, 2023, on Sunday. He was recognized as Chester, Maryland resident Vinny Nixon. The Maryland State Police Crash Unit is still looking into the incident.
According to the Maryland State Police, the accident happened around 12:30 in the morning. State police troopers from the Centreville Barrack, according to reports, responded to a collision that happened along westbound Route 50 and to the east of Piney Creek Road.
On Route 50’s westbound lanes, a 2015 Jaguar rear-ended a BMW that was traveling in the left lane. The Jaguar allegedly hit the guardrail in the middle of the road at that point, while the BMW allegedly continued west and veered off the road into a fence.
According to the Maryland State Police, Vincent Nixon, a passenger in the Jaguar, died on the spot. State police identified John Mudge, a Stevensville resident who is 45 years old, as the Jaguar’s driver.
According to reports, Mudge was flown to Baltimore’s R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center via helicopter. Brenda Young, a 40-year-old Greensboro native, was the driver of the BMW. Young was driven to the University of Maryland Emergency Center in Queenstown where she was treated.
