Gilbert Plains Car Accident: Four teens killed following crash with semi near Gilbert Plains.
Following a collision near Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, on Wednesday night, one youngster is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries and four other teenagers are dead.
Around 10:50 p.m., the Dauphin RCMP reported receiving many calls regarding an accident between an automobile and a semi-trailer at the intersection of Highway 5 and Provincial Road 274. The five youths, who are all from the adjacent town of Dauphin, were found in a car that was traveling north on Provincial Road 274 toward Gilbert Plains, according to investigators.

The male driver, age 18, and two male passengers, ages 17 and 18, were pronounced dead at the site. A female patient, age 18, was taken to the hospital in a critical condition but later passed away.
An injured 15-year-old girl is still receiving treatment in the hospital.
The 30-year-old semi-truck driver was unharmed in the collision.
