In the New South Wales Central West this morning, a four-vehicle collision that followed a police pursuit claimed the life of a man in his 20s.
Three cars and a bus collided on the Mitchell Highway near Orange, and emergency services were rushed to the scene.
Two passengers from one of the other cars were rushed to Orange Hospital in a stable condition, while the 23-year-old male driver of one of the automobiles passed away at the site.
According to police, one of the accident’s automobiles had been reported stolen in the adjacent Blayney last Thursday.
Police allegedly saw the automobile this morning and started a pursuit, which was ended just before the collision because of the weather and the driver’s style.
Due to the police investigation, the Mitchell Highway is still closed in both directions and is anticipated to stay that way for some time.
