A body was discovered inside a car on Tuesday morning that matched the description of a missing South Side mother’s car.
The startling finding was made by a Chicago Streets and Sanitation employee, according to the police. The vehicle was parked in Roseland close to 94th and South LaSalle.
A Hyundai was discovered on the South Side, and it matches the description of the automobile Rena Baker was driving just before she vanished.
According to her family, the 39-year-old was last seen on Wednesday at 76th and King Drive in the Chatham district of the city. She was seen getting into her car and leaving her friend’s home on a CCTV camera.
On the Dan Ryan, license plate readers picked up the maroon Hyundai Sonata with the Illinois license plate Z709627.
According to Rena’s brother, Andre Baker, “the police were able to see her vehicle on 79th and the Dan Ryan to about 91st on the Dan Ryan.”
